I originally got this book because I adore Gabra Zackman. She is an amazing narrator. In this book she gives herself an east coast accent that I was not expecting since I got the book without listening to a sample. Plus I'm not normally into murder mysteries but Gabra made this book for me.

There are constantly characters in Kyra Davis' books that make you flinch, cringe, and make you want to say GO BACK, idiot DO NOT DO THAT!!! So, you could say I got engrossed despite not really liking these kinds of books. I would still say I don't like this genre, but I will probably still be buying this whole series. I'm not a fan of the unusual names in this series, and she seems to want to make certain scenes oddly sex oriented in places where it seems out of place, but I'd still recommend this book and the first one.
